The purpose of this design guide is to present the requirements and considerations relevant to the building of a data network for the transportation industry along with design options, best practices and configuration guidelines. While this design guide is focused on Shortest Path Bridging (SPB-M) based networks, it also addresses data networking solutions applicable to transportation.
This design guide is intended for network architects and network engineers involved in the design, implementation and maintenance of networks in the transportation industry.
To take advantage of this document, it is expected that the reader will be familiar with Shortest Path Bridging and will have a solid understanding of various networking technologies at the ACPS or similar level.
